Mario Keputa
Founder, Horizon4 AI
Mario Keputa grew up in Albania, studied at Cornell, and spent years at the World Bank working on economic development and startup ecosystems. He holds an MPA and MBA (Impact Finance) from Cornell University and was awarded the Cornell Reynolds Leadership Fellowship. His research focuses on AI governance, innovation ecosystems, and institutional competitiveness.
Before Horizon4, he worked as a consultant at the World Bank Group on startup ecosystems, economic scaling, and competitiveness. He co-founded ZÂNI, a policy and research platform bringing together top Albanian professionals and students from leading US universities, focused on democratic governance and responsible AI. He built Horizon4 AI because Albania’s AI adoption should be led by people who understand how Albanian institutions actually work.
